Job Description:

Interaction Engineering is working closely with a rapidly growing manufacturing company in the heart of Peterborough. Due to successful growth they are seeking an experience quality engineer to join the team and work closely across all operations. You will pinpoint issues, resolve root causes, and spearhead solutions. Your role involves strengthening manufacturing processes, efficiency, and ensure top-tier product delivery.

The Role:

Implement and refine industry-standard reporting methodologies such as 8D, 5Y, PPAP, APQP, and PFMEA to effectively address quality concerns.
Review and analyse Customer Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) feedback for root cause identification.
Manage Non-Conforming Product (NCP) processes, including validation and resolution.
Collaborate with procurement personnel to establish quality standards for external suppliers.
Develop and manage Internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Sub-Assembly, Fabrication, and Bodyshop operations.
Handle Change Management Meeting (CMM) reporting and documentation.
Validate internal manufacturing stock codes, ensuring accurate Syspro operations and Bill of Material (BOM) precision.
Assist production area managers in jigging and tooling reviews, approving new tools through signoff.
Evaluate existing job times for efficiency improvements and workflow optimisation.
Offer guidance and support to Manufacturing teams and quality staff on quality-related matters.
Collect data for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as defined by the business.
What we need from you:

Previous Experience as a quality engineer.
Proficient in quality improvement procedures.
Hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team of Engineers toward common objectives.
