Project Manager, GIS Software, Professional Services

Salary : £50000 – £55000/annum – Base +20% Bonus + Benefits
My client are an international software and services provider, providing a market leading mapping software suite to a large scale clientele.
This position will work on key customer engagements providing governance to a professional services team on GIS/Geospatial related projects.
You will be accountable for the financial and operational performance of nominated projects, including the successful planning, resourcing, cost estimating, cost management and final delivery / closure.
Role Activity:
Responsible for the performance of all assigned projects to ensure that all projects are delivered to agreed time, cost, quality and customer success objectives, including agreed financial contribution.
-Define and agree project deliverables and resource need
-Define acceptance criteria for project deliverables
-Define and agree project work plans
-Manage project risks and issues and manage as appropriate
-Manage scope, change requests, and amendments to deliverables and schedule
-Maintenance and regular updates of project back office systems
-Responsible for the PS engagement with nominated customers
-Management of internal and external stakeholder communication
-Provide support for the development of sales opportunities with nominated customers
-Contribute to the Professional Services input to nominated sales opportunities, including qualifying and taking responsibility for the delivery of sales requirements with nominated Customers
-Contribute to the development and implementation of the Professional Services business plan and budget
-Contribute to ideas for continuous improvement and the management of change so as to drive improvements in the financial and operating performance of Professional Services
-Champion and drive project management techniques, methodologies and approaches in line with business requirements and evolving best practices.
Required Experience:
-3+ years Project Management and full project delivery skills
– Good Agile / Scrum experience
– Experience of the GIS sector and ArcGIS platform
-Excellent customer facing, verbal and written communication skills
-Excellent stakeholder management within both internal and external customer environments
-Strong financial management and financial analysis skills
-Strong negotiation skills
-Strong commercial skills, able to identify and develop business opportunities
-Strong consultative selling skills
-Good team leadership skills
You can work remotely or base yourself at one of the UK offices, but must be prepared also to travel to and regularly work on customer site.
