Production MIG Welder

KPJ Group has an opening for two welders in the High peak.
referably time served.
The Company is a medium sized Engineering company, specializing in welding and fabrication. Predominantly using Mild Steel sheet, mostly under 2mm but occasionally upto 5mm.
The Company employs a workforce of 50 people most of which are long serving employees
Job description
Manufacture of light sheet metal parts into assemblies using standard engineering machinery. Not all parts will be required to be made by the person, lasered and fabricated parts are supplied to be integrated into fabrications. The work is light, and easy to make parts. There is no heavy lifting involved. The work is predominantly clean.
Person specification
Consideration will be given to individuals who cannot meet all of the skills required, training on some processes may be given to the right person
Able to competently setup and operate the following machines and processes. This is not an exhaustive list.
Mig Weld, spot weld, Bend, fold, saw, fabricate, benchwork, rivet and any other general engineering processes required
The person is expected to be flexible in the position. There is a considerable amount of discussion with the Design team therefore the person needs to be able to articulately engage and discuss issues and offer input into best methods and alternatives
Critical to this position is reliability and the ability to attend work every day. Optional overtime may be available, but in rare circumstances overtime may be mandatory with notice
Days
7:30 am to 4:30 pm, – 8.5 hours Monday to Thursday
7:30 am to 1:30 pm, – 6 hours Friday
This is a temporary contract of 3+ Months.
You will be required to do a weld test to be considered for this role
