We have a fantastic opportunity for a new Production Editor to join the team of a prestigious life sciences journals publisher based in London. They are willing to offer remote working until the end of September when things will change to 2 days in the office.

The successful Production Editor will oversee the end to end production schedule of one of their journals through to digital publication. No prior publishing experience is necessary, they would offer training and support with the publishing skills, but they do need someone from a bio-medical sciences background at any degree level.

In the role, the Production Editor will be responsible for:

managing the complete journals workflow from submissions and acceptances through to sending proofs and coordinating payments
acting as the main point of contact for authors
collaborating with Copy Editors and other Production Editors on decision making and to distribute projects

If you come from a bio-medical science background, and you're looking to make the transition from academia into publishing or you're looking for a step up from Production Assistant level within an STM publishing environment, this could be a great role for you!
