We are looking for an experienced Product Director who has worked within media/entertainment to join a company at a very exciting time as they transform and modernise.

About the role

The most important part of the company is the customers/users/consumers. This role is responsible for building the community through which they engage with the services. Success in this role will increase the size and engagement levels of through developing community focussed products and features that deliver revenue growth.

The primary focus will be the large and engaged online community. Commenting is a core part of the consumer experience for the already engaged consumers. This role will capture the growth potential that exists in improving and building out that experience for consumers.

The role is accountable for taking a holistic and strategic view of this and other features of the community offering across all company brands. It will drive the process of building features that grow our business and deliver engaging experiences.

The successful candidate must have a proven record of establishing and maintaining structure around product processes; be an expert at building productive working relationships and communicating with senior stakeholders, especially in a news environment and be resilient and able to manage change.

Experience of working in a senior product role on digital community products to drive revenue and engagement growth is required.

Key Responsibilities

* Building and delivering outcome focused Community roadmap

* Building relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to achieve the aims set out in the roadmap

* Devise a revenue growing, data-informed community product strategy

* Defining requirements that ensure the needs of the consumer and business are met

Required Experience

* Demonstrable experience of growing online communities with revenue growth

* Goal oriented and adept at incorporating and evangelising Agile processes

* Comfortable using qualitative and quantitative data to influence decision making

* Experienced in working in a senior product management role for 5+ years

* Experienced in collaborating with a range of stakeholders, ideally including editorial, business and marketing, technology and delivery – and understanding how communication approaches and styles need to be adapted for each stakeholder

* Experienced in driving change and transformation within legacy businesses and able to independently establish networks within the business

* Experienced with working a variety of roadmap and product development tools

* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
