Poultry Catcher

Hales Group Norwich are pleased to be working with a new client based near Wymondham who are looking for poultry catchers / loaders to join their team.
You will be working in various locations within East Anglia and possible other locations further afield.
The ideal Candidate will have a good level of communication skills and be physically fit.
As a Chicken Catcher, your role will involve travelling to various farms to catch chickens in sheds ready for transportation back to the primary processing site.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Strictly following Health & Safety and Bird Welfare legislative standards
Adhering to security and site safety rules whilst wearing the correct PPE
Loading the Class 1 HGVs with the live haul
Preparing the sheds ready for the catch
What we are looking for:
It is desirable that you have previous catching experience, however we are happy to put the right candidates through training.
You will have good knowledge of animal welfare.
You will have the ability to be flexible with working hours and work in a team environment
Pay, Benefits and hours / shifts:
Hours are varied across seven days, morning and night shifts available
£9.36ph (you are paid during your travel time from site to site)
Transport from Norwich is provided, so as long as you can get to the city centre, Sprowston, Earlham or Costessey you will be picked up.
These roles will go permanent for the right candidates and full-time hours are always offered.
