Are you an aspiring Supply Chain professional, with strong knowledge of planning procedures and practices, great attention to detail and the ability to have a strategic approach to tasks… then this is the role for you!

Currently working with a leading food group, who are looking for a Planning Manager. The individual will be responsible for planning and managing the end-to-end flow of the business’s finished goods, controlling UK stock holding in line with agreed targets, whilst maintaining industry leading service levels. You will also manage the day-to-day European supplier and 3PL relationships, alongside facilitating operational information flow amongst the various internal departments. The Planning Manager will be responsible for:

Oversee the full end-to-end demand and supply planning process for the UK business, including the Customer Service function
Deliver market leading levels of stock availability by ensuring sufficient inventory is available to satisfy customer demand
Manage the transfer flow of stocks between our European based supply network and our UK warehouse
Management of direct report (Customer Service Executive)
Ensure the product life cycle is effectively managed and that stock write offs are minimised
Plan inventory requirements in a cost-effective way ensuring targets are maintained
Coordinate the smooth flow of goods into the warehouse with 3rd party logistics providers
Produce reports and analysis for our Supply Chain Director
Lead the UK businesses S&OP process
Manage the warehouse capacity planning and forecast scheduling
Ensure all warehouse stock volumes are reconciled on a weekly basis
Management of the UK businesses purchasing platform within the Oracle ERP
Proactively manage the day-to-day UK Supplier relationships
Identify, report on and manage forecast evolution
Owning the invoice and admin processes for purchase orders
Planning Manager requirements:

3 years of strong, proven industry experience working as a Planning Manager
Hold a degree or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline
It is essential to have knowledge of the supply chain planning processes and practices, as well as have some cross boarder import and export experience
Ability to think strategically and see the big picture, combined with a relentless focus on performance and delivery
Strong attention to detail, communication, and numeracy
Project management skills, demonstrate deliverance of complex projects with multidisciplinary teams
Have management experience
