Are you an experienced Payroll Administrator who is looking for a new challenge that allows for growth?
As a member of a friendly and supportive payroll team, you will be responsible for the processing and administration of payrolls over various frequencies within your allocations.
You must be able to evidence experience of providing efficient, accurate, high-quality payroll administration in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all clients payrolls are processed accurately and that payslips, statutory returns and reports are produced and validated in the agreed timeframe
* Undertake day-to-day payroll activity to ensure practical knowledge and smooth running of the service
* Ensure compliance with statutory and pension scheme requirements, e.g. P11Ds, auto- enrolment, HMRC
* Implementing new starter information and HMRC tax notifications
* Processing leavers; including last payment calculations and creating P45’s
* Monthly PAYE liability reconciliation
* Month-end volume reconciliation
* Producing and despatching employee tax documents
* Producing and sending HMRC Real Time Information and Pension electronic files
* Ad-hoc technical and administrative tasks
* AE Pensions setup and processing
* Handling client queries and HMRC query resolution
* Checking peers and junior team member payroll cases
* Carrying out other duties and projects appropriate as may be directed by the Team Leader or Payroll Operations Manager.
General:
* This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. The post holder will be expected to undertake any other duties as may from time to time be required which are commensurate with the level of the post according to business need.
* Comply with relevant Health and Safety, Data Protection and Equal Opportunities policies and law as communicated through the intranet, contract of employment, employee handbook and training.
* To undertake GDPR training on an annual basis and to comply with the ISMS policies in place that govern how we protect client data, including the secure processing of all sensitive data, immediate reporting in case of a breach of sensitive data and involvement in the non-conformance process where a breach occurs.
Essential knowledge/experience:
* Experience of effective end-to-end processing of all weekly & monthly payrolls, working with portfolios of varying sizes
* Knowledge of PAYE/NIC and statutory payments when running payrolls e.g. redundancy, SMP/SAP, SPP and SSP
* Experience of processing new starters, leavers, P45, P60, pensions, auto enrolments, student loans, SSP etc
* Ability to resolve client queries in a clear and professional manner
* Meet and exceed all payroll deadlines.
The successful candidate must possess:
At least 2 years’ experience in a payroll bureau, or high volume payroll, or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of competency
High level attention to detail
Ability to work at a fast pace
Experience dealing with multiple end-to-end payrolls
Effective communication, time management and organisational skills
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Ability to adapt to new software quickly
