Part Qualified Accountant
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £30000 – £40000/annum
Our client is recruiting for a Part Qualified Accountant to support the managers and directors in provide a full range of accounting, audit and tax services to a wide-ranging portfolio. The role will be varied with an approximate split of 70/30 accounts/audit, and will include supervising junior staff as well as preparing audit planning documentation for review.
As Part Qualified Accountant your responsibilities will include:
* Accounts preparation for partnerships and sole traders for Manager/Director review
* Supervising and review of accounts and tax returns prepared by junior team members
* Management accounts
* Planning and delivery of audit assignments, and deliver the audit files in accordance with UK GAAP – supervise junior staff during audits and review work
* Preparation of corporate, partnership and sole trader tax returns
* VAT returns preparation and review
* Monitor assignment budgets pro-actively
* Work towards developing relationships with clients to become their first point of contact on day-to-day matters
* Ensure that necessary adjustments are made to accounts after review and prior to finalisation with the client
* Job tracking and management to include preparation of draft documents
* Delegate work to more junior staff and monitor progress – mentor accounts and audit trainees

* Part qualified and currently studying ACA/ACCA; an exceptional qualified by experience accountant would be considered
* Significant accounting and audit experience gained within a practice environment
* Strong IT skills; MS Office – CCH, Mercia, Xero, Sage and QuickBooks experience would be an advantage
* Be self-motivated, flexible and work well in a team environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Mobile and flexible to work in other offices and client’s sites when applicable
