Near Bromsgrove (Our Ref AL1040)
Salary to c£38,000 pa depending on experience
My client is an award winning IFA and they are now looking to appoint an experienced and qualified Paraplanner, to join an existing team.
Paraplanning Duties
* Prepare and maintain client files and client reviews
* Build cash flow models
* Prepare recommendations and suitability reports
* Identify areas for planning
* Undertake research both independently and with the Financial Planner to identify suitable solutions to meet the clients need.
* Prepare information/comparisons for analysis by Planner
* Liaise with client’s legal and tax advisers
* Oversee implementation of recommendations, completion of application forms and ensure all compliance is in order
* Establish and build strong relationships with clients
Knowledge
* Excellent understanding of the financial planning process
* Good technical knowledge in a wide range of product areas – pensions, investments, IHT planning, tax planning, protection
* Excellent suitability report writing skills
* Keep up to date with new product, technical and legislative changes within the marketplace
Experience
* Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience working a financial planning company, ideally in paraplanning
* Experience using client cash-flow modelling software preferable and also Intelligent Office would be an advantage
Qualifications
* Have achieved Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent is desired
* Chartered qualification would be highly desirable and potentially attract a higher salary grade

* Proficient IT skills. Basic word processing, spread sheet and database knowledge
