Purpose of the Panel wireperson role:
* Set out jobs to drawings, job instructions and specifications.
* Build and assemble control panels from drawings and job instructions.
* To work within the companies quality procedures
* Identify and report discrepancies
* Final inspection and test as directed by the production Manager
* Ensuring the product is produced to deadlines
* Maintain good Health and safety and disciplines at all times
Panel Wireperson Key skills
* Principals of Lean Manufacturing in particular 5S’s
* Practical, productive and electrical engineering skills, with adequate technical knowledge so as to be able
* To work on their own proficiently
* Understanding of engineering drawings, job instructions and specifications
* Principles of QA Systems
* Identification of Products and materials
* Principals of building and assembly of control panels from drawings and job instructions
* Principals of identifying and reporting discrepancies
* Principals of maintaining in process records, ensuring that the inspection and test status is always readily
* apparent
* Principals of in process testing and inspections of control panels
* Principals of final inspection and test
* Principals of Health, safety and discipline at all times
* Understanding of PPE required
* Principals of good house keeping
* Ability to communicate effectively between various departments
Panel Wireperson Experience:
* Practical, productive and electrical engineering skills
* Setting out jobs from drawings, job instructions and specifications
* Building and assembly of control panels from drawings and job instructions
* In process testing and inspections of control panels
* Final inspection and test procedures
Panel Wireperson Person specification:
Preparedness to work at weekends
Preparedness to work on site, with the likelihood of overnight stays
Able to influence internally at all levels.
