EXPERIENCED OPERATIONS MANAGER IDEALLY WITH A BACKGROUND IN WASTE MANAGEMENT & RECYCLING OR FARMING & AGRICULTURE REQUIRED TO DELIVER A PROFITABLE PROCESSING OPERATION

RESPONSIBILITIES – Operations Manager – Waste Management & Recycling Site
You will oversee the operations at a waste & recycling site ensuring KPI's are met, and safety, ISO standards, environmental and company policy are adhered to.
You will liaise with customers from the farming / agricultural community
You will develop the teams to deliver effective processing and output within the operation and ensure that staffing levels are controlled and performance levels are kept to a high standard.
Responsible for cost control and budget management
Ensure adherence to the site permit and liaise with the EA
This role will require the operation of plant equipment
EXPERIENCE – Operations Manager – Waste Management & Recycling Site
You will be an experienced and practical manager, open to chipping in as required. Experience operating any agricultural / plant equipment such as Telehandler, Tractor / Spreader, Loading Shovel etc. an advantage.
Any maintenance / engineering experience a bonus you may have been a Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or Agricultural Engineer or have developed practical skills
Excellent man and change management skills
Experience in one of these fields highly desirable:
In-Vessel Composting, Composting, Biogas, Green Waste, Anaerobic Digestion, Biomass, Power Station, AD, EfW, ERF, Autoclave, Water Treatment, IVC, Land Fill Gas, MBT (Mechanical Biological Treatment), Waste Water Treatment, Agriculture, Farming
Useful Qualifications: WAMITAB COTC4 (Certificate of technical competence) ideally in Biological Waste Treatment, IOSH, NEBOSH
