The Role:
We are looking for a Catering Operations Manager to support multiple sites across Suffolk.
As Catering Operations Manager, you will be part of the operational management team in Educational Catering. You will be responsible for providing overall planning, direction and control to 18 -22 kitchens. You will achieve operational and financial goals in addition to ensuring compliance with both statutory and company Food Safety and Health and Safety policies. You will provide guidance and motivation to the site-based teams. Ensuring effective customer service to students and strong client relationships with principals, school business managers and other key stakeholders.
Travelling to units on a daily basis is required in this position. You must have your own vehicle and the company will reimburse mileage usage.
Main responsibilities for the Catering Operations Manager

Proactive management of the catering team, building an inclusive and diverse team that deliver the company’s expectations
*
Responsible for recruiting, supporting, training and people development.
*
Accountable for ensuring ongoing team communications, including building internal and external relationships, management reporting and regular liaison with principals and the senior leadership of the schools
*
Accountable for driving school meal uptake across all year groups through a range of marketing and added value initiatives.
*
Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care to customers and colleagues
*
Set work objectives for self, teams and individuals enabling business plan and catering improvement plans to be met/
*
·Identify staff requirements and assess and select suitable employees in accordance with the company’s Recruitment Policy
*
Assess and monitor staff turnover and manage effectively through the team
* Achieve and Improve Service Delivery Targets
* Control Resources and Finance:·maintain minimum running costs and achieve minimum wastage.
