Air Personnel are delighted to support their client in Oxford for two roles for Ground Operations Controllers
JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY
We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team, reporting to the Operations Manager. As part of the team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Operations department, co-ordination of flight and ground activities, managing the daily flying programme, and providing support to clients and other departments within the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Your responsibilities in the role will be include but are not limited to the following:
Client Management and Liaison.
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Company Flight Time Limitations (FTL) scheme, including ensuring that all relevant Crew Duty records are maintained in accordance with the approved scheme.
The co-ordination of all activities in the operations department, and between departments and third-party service providers such as flight support, ground handlers, fuel suppliers, caterers, airport authorities and other carriers.
Charter sales and trip quoting through Avinode and based on the current aircraft fleet.
Responsible for the safe and efficient scheduling of aeroplanes, in liaison with the CAM to ensure that aeroplane utilization, punctuality and maintenance needs are met.
Maintenance of operational status boards showing planned schedules, on time or delay status, and aeroplane technical status.
Maintaining a close liaison with the CAM on all matters concerning the continued serviceability of the Company's fleet with specific regard to maintaining contract commitments and schedules.
Ensuring that company aeroplanes are supplied with appropriate documents in compliance with the Company Operations Manual and appropriate legislation and performing regular audits.
Maintaining the operations library.
Post-flight vetting checks of documentation returned to the company to ensure conformity with regulations, drawing the attention of the Chief Pilot to any errors therein.
Ensuring that discretion reports, or any deficiencies in return flight paperwork, are brought to the attention of the CP and actioning any findings.
Occasionally ensuring that a duty watch is maintained throughout the period when aeroplane operations are taking place, maintaining a watch log, recording all incidents, actions, communications, etc., relevant to the flight programme, and the preparation of a written, accurate handover/status report for the incoming duty officer.
Collation and allocation of trip related costs.
Any additional tasks as allocated by the senior management and or Chief Pilot.
Desirable Skills:
Excellent IT skills.
Excellent communication skills with a range of audiences, including senior management, board members and UHNWI/VVIP clients.
Numerate with good negotiation skills.
Ability to work and stay calm under pressure.
Fixed Wing or Rotary operations support experience, including aircraft management and trip planning.
A desire to succeed in all aspects of the role.
Travel Requirements: You may be required to travel in this role. Applicants are required to hold a valid driver’s license and passport.
HOURS
Your normal working hours will be rotated on a weekly basis of earlies, days and late’s.
Week 1: Monday to Friday 07:00 – 15:30
Week 2: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30
Week 3: Monday to Friday 13:30 – 22:00
