Salary : £600 – £650/day Inside of IR35
Native iOS Engineers – 3 month rolling contract – Media / VoD / Streaming platforms
Inside of IR35 – up to £650 per day – remote initially
A well-known Media and Entertainment brand is looking to hire 2 iOS Engineers to join their international technology team (dev teams in UK, US and India) who are responsible for the ongoing development of their video streaming platform which provides entertainment to millions of viewers around the world.
You will be writing Swift code to extend and maintain the existing player codebase and, depending on your skills and experience, this could mean working on player internals, client integrations, feature enhancements, automations – all things around making this streaming player the best in class.
We are looking for:
Native iOS Engineers with experience of building media / streaming apps
Strong development skills in Swift/Objective-C
Solid experience developing client-facing applications for mobile (but we're also interested in any experience with web, consoles or TV)
Experience developing applications in one or more additional languages – Kotlin / Java / C++ / C / JavaScript
Reactive programming skills will be highly desirable
Experience in media frameworks, video codecs, streaming technologies (HLS/DASH) and/or Ad tech desired.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and matrixed organisation where you help to drive incremental improvements
Strong written and verbal communication skills
