SF Recruitment are working with a business based in Solihull who are looking for Events Sales Manager to head up the team

Must have a Graphic / Media Sales Background

To manage the Event Organiser Sales Team in maximising sales revenue and margin of the whole Sales and Customer Support portfolio, selling directly to Event Organisers and indirectly to Exhibitors.
Using a comprehensive understanding of all services to unlock customer demand and deliver a seamless end to end experience.

Key Responsibilities
– Deliver and ensure the team deliver personalised pitches to organisers that win and convert both direct organiser revenue and indirect exhibitor revenue, (for exhibitions through the appointment of preferred supplier for Event Services portfolio).
– Oversee on the job training and sales performance monitoring across the team.
– Understand and empathise with differing buying needs; solution and problem solving to deliver unique (and creative) solutions that unlock additional revenue.
– Utilise the Tied Service platform to unlock wider services sales opportunity.
– Deliver sales performance that meets sales funnel KPI's (Conversion / Revenue / Margin).
– Managing the sales database ensuring timely customer contact and multi layered communications plans that engage and convert opportunities.
– Deliver to sales and margin targets.
– Lead account relationships, to deliver targets for direct (organiser) and indirect (exhibitor) revenues and margins.
– Be first point of contact for own allocated account organiser customers.

Skills and Experience
– A natural sales ability and understanding of the sales funnel
– An ability to understand and question customer needs and build personalised solutions and packages
– Commercial acumen and ability to understand cost of delivery and margin
– Experience of Live Event, Conventions, Conferences and Exhibitions
– Expert in Microsoft office packages (esp. Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
– Natural communicator and 'team-player'
– Strong verbal and written communication skills
– Self-driven and pro-active attitude to problem-solving
– Strong numerical skills
– A track record of identifying creative solutions to unlock additional revenue
– Experience of selling in the media and live event organiser markets
– Experience of managing a successful sales team and meeting targets/KPI's
– Experience of working in a fast pace, high pressure, target driven sales environment
– Ability to influence and negotiate to achieve results
– Ability to adapt to a constantly changing and growing business environment.
