My client is based in Cardiff but offer remote working

The Media Manager will be responsible for effective project delivery across all Media campaigns, and the operational decisions to accomplish both client and team goals.

You will be an authority in your field and the ‘go to’ person for all aspects of Media. You will be responsible for all aspects of pan- media planning and buying with a proven ability to deliver campaigns that effectively deliver ROI or other defined outcomes to a client brief. You will also be a highly organised individual with the necessary resources and expertise to confidently plan, pitch and implement plans from brief to effective outcomes.

General responsibilities and targets

Discovering insights and using them to shape a strategy
Devising and delivering the relevant aspect of integrated comms campaigns in response to client's briefs or tenders (including fully costing schematics with timelines).
Identifying and managing internal and external resources to deliver campaigns
Performing a client facing project management role when required to complement any other account management function.
Cost control and time management vs planned (for example: net profit at campaign level)
Line management of assistant positions as required for project related matters. Specific responsibilities and duties

Work with the Commercial Manager to advise on resource plans specific to future requirements and projects.
Provide professional mentoring and upskilling of relevant staff
Be a motivator to staff in their product team to encourage them to give their best and ensure they are working effectively
Provide the operational delegation of duties to staff for delivery of product
Identify resources and requirements in the product specialist area, monitor staff utilisation and use this information to advise the Commercial Manager.
Provide advice to the Commercial Manager on any new and existing technologies and trends in the product specialism
Manage the budgeting, profitability and reporting required to deliver a job
Providing effective product delivery solutions for clients that is delivered on time, on brief, on budget and on quality Experience required

Media literacy and proven track record of creating profitable effective client campaigns with tangible ROI
Strong working knowledge of all digital media platforms and channels (digital only and digital iterations)
Solid understanding of the UK media landscape with ‘go to’ contact book
Solid track record of delivering profitable, successful, and effective client content
Ability to negotiate favourable terms with suppliers
Comfortable in pitching to clients
Project and Account management experience
Competence in using media planning, research, and evaluation tools (TGI, DDS, Ad Dynamix, Google Analytics)
Competent and comfortable with budgets and financial figures
IPA effectiveness qualification or similar
Good working understanding of advertising legislation clearance process
Good knowledge of copy distribution networks (Print, TV, Social, OOH, Online) What you'll get in return
