This is a very rare and sought after opportunity that simply doesn't come around often.

Our client is an Essex based £15M turn over M&E Contractor that has been going since the 80's. They work in the commercial sector on projects from £50K up tp £2M with the occasional project of around £6M (normally only once per year).

They are not looking to increase their turnover and are really happy with their long term relationships with their current clients who have excellent payment terms. So the lucky person will not need to bring new clients, instead just maintain the ones they do have.

The owner is now reaching retirement and is looking for someone to step in and overtake the Mechanical side of the business and will initially be a Mechanical Contracts Manager / Director, with the view of becoming a director/shareholder in the long term.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Contracts Manager who knows how to run multiple projects and also understands how to turn a profit so must be commercially aware.

They have an inhouse design team, so although you won't need to be a designer you still must know how to see when something isn't going to work from looking at drawings before the initial install.

The majority of their work is self-delivered with their own direct plumbers and electricians. They currently have around 100 operators on their books. Most of the projects are between 16 -36 weeks to complete.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced mechanically biased contracts manager to step up to contracts director.

You will require

* SMSTS

* Current CSCS Manager Card

* 5 years experience commercial sector experience

* Experience looking after multiple projects at once

* Commutable distance to Chelmsford, Essex

* Have a fairly good understanding of design (you don't need to be a designer).
