Salary : £25000 – £35000/annum + 23 + 8 days hol + parking + pensi

Mechanic, Agricultural, £25-35,000 (dependant on experience) + 23 days’ holiday + bank holidays + pension + free parking. The Role: I am recruiting a Mechanic (Agricultural Mechanic, Agricultural Technician, Agricultural Engineer, Motor Mechanic, Motor Technician, Machinery Mechanic, Mechanical Technician, Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Machinery Service Engineer etc.) to service, repair and maintain a wide variety of Grounds Maintenance Machinery, including Tractors, Mowers, Strimmers, Chain Saws, Rotavators and a range of hand tools. Currently maintenance of the 15 company vans is outsourced, but this could be brought in-house if the successful candidates experience allows. The successful Mechanic may not have experience of working with all of the equipment used, but they will have well developed practical skills, which they can apply to the various machinery and tools. Preferably they will also have the ability to complete some fabrication or welding tasks as necessary.

This is a permanent role, based in the Workshop in Warmley, East Bristol (BS30) and we are happy to consider applicants on a full-time or part-time basis. The Mechanic (Agricultural Mechanic, Agricultural Technician, Agricultural Engineer, Motor Mechanic, Motor Technician, Machinery Mechanic, Mechanical Technician, Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Machinery Service Engineer etc.) will largely be working autonomously but they will have the support of the MD (who currently maintains the majority of the equipment), as required.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm (Winter hours), 7am-5pm (Summer hours). During the Winter you will take responsibility for overhaul and repairs of machinery and during the summer, when the equipment is in full-time use, you will concentrate on servicing and minor repairs.

Maintenance company, who also fulfil a range of landscaping and outdoor projects. They work primarily within the education and sports field sector and maintain over 200 schools and sports grounds throughout the Bristol, Somerset, Bath, and South Gloucestershire areas.

Mechanic (Agricultural Mechanic, Agricultural Technician, Agricultural Engineer, Motor Mechanic, Motor Technician, Machinery Mechanic, Mechanical Technician, Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Machinery Service Engineer etc.), Role requirements:

* Excellent practical skills with the ability to service and repair a wide variety of agricultural and horticultural machinery (tractors, strimmers, mowers, chain saws, hand tools etc.)

* Highly organised, with the ability to plan and schedule machine maintenance work.

* Self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously

* Preferably (but not essential) fabrication and welding skills and experience.
