Broadcast MCR Engineer

Our well-known client is looking for an MCR operator to take responsibility for monitoring the quality and accuracy of news output for TV and radio. Covering both technical and content, ensuring the transmission broadcast standards and quality of excellence.
Are you a broadcast engineer graduate, TX operator, MCR operator, ingest operator, live operations engineer, live transmissions operator, live transmissions controller, a broadcast operator with MCR knowledge or an MCR engineer looking for your next career move? Are you able to prepare programming for and monitor feeds?
Working together with editorial, production, operational and engineering teams. Providing 1st line technical support, acting as the key point of contact for incidents affecting studio operations and escalate where necessary.
Responsibilities:
Ensuring Multiview screens are always monitored.
Guest and VJ Lineups.
Assigning LiveU channels.
Ingestion to the server.
Playback of television programming.
Political Pool send and receive.
Arqiva Events bookings.
Sienna panel routing.
Log incidences in Halo.
Assigning outside sources to Conts for the gallery use.
Perform overnight restart and morning rundown tests.
Digital platform and radio checks.
Using the Broadcast Monitor for all QCs.
Lineup of OBs with testing of audio and video.
Testing with the gallery and OB team.
Workflow Good understanding of the end-to-end broadcast chain. Our client is looking for someone who can offer the support needed to ensure everything passed to the control room is of a high enough standard.
