We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced MANUFACTURING MANAGER to join our dynamic team at Florette in Lichfield.

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations on site, leading the manufacturing team across the whole of the production life cycle. You will have direct responsibility for safety, quality, productivity, and waste within the manufacturing operation. A driver of change, you will constantly seek opportunities for improvement and will deputise in the absence of the Site Manager.

Pay: competitive commensurate with experience

Working hours: 37.5hrs a week 5 days out of 7.

Main Responsibilities

Managing the Production team via Area Managers to ensure that all products are produced in line with specifications and within agreed timescales.

Ensure production procedures are carried out to comply with quality & HACCP systems.

To manage the capacity of the factory, maximising yield and productivity.

Ensure that company and statutory H&S regulations and hygiene requirements are adhered to at all times.

Creating a performance culture and developing talent.

The management of customer visits to ensure compliance with required standards.

To provide direction, motivation and support through effective management of direct reports

To work closely with the Site Manager on the future development of the factory.

Out of hours support when required

Skills and Experience Required

Minimum 5 years’ management experience within an FMCG environment – preferably within short shelf-life chilled food/produce industry.

Able to demonstrate a clear understanding of Safety & Environmental requirements within a chilled produce manufacturing environment.

CI experience with a CI qualification an advantage

IOSH qualified, would be an advantage.
