We are a family owned company established since 1899 and have locations in Guildford, Maidstone, Canterbury & Shoreham representing Vauxhall, Nissan, MG and DAF Brands, as well as a used car supermarket, Car Save Group. As part of our continued growth plans, we are looking to recruit a high calibre individual to join our team at our Guildford location as Management Accountant.
A senior role that pursues improved financial performance by actively partnering with all operational functions to deliver business objectives and providing an essential link between Finance and the Senior Leadership Team.
To manage the Finance and Admin departments across multiple locations and franchises, and to manage all day to day financial activities to deliver accurate and insightful reporting to all stakeholders.

Group Financial Controller
Role Responsibilities:
* Drive improved financial performance by actively partnering with all operational functions to deliver business objectives.
* Oversee all activities relating to the delivery of Finance projects
* Lead both the Finance team and two Admin teams totalling twelve staff
* Manage all Finance related activities, financial controls, quality standards and communication to stakeholders
* Drive collaboration between various functional teams across the business
* Oversee the production of
* Monthly Accounts
* Departmental budgets
* Weekly forecasting
* Daily/weekly KPI’s
* Payroll
* Composites
* Vat Returns
* Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
* Vehicle Funding
* Assist in the year end audit
* Be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting data within the main DMS software
Essential skills, qualifications and experience:
* Ideally Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) though those QBE will be considered with at least 5 years Motor Trade experience
* Advanced Excel Skills
* Finance delivery experience, with particular focus on financial reporting, controls, business partnering and common financial processes
* Must be comfortable working with large amounts of data and be able to continually develop our financial reporting and provide business insights to the Senior Leadership Team.
* A strong communicator and be able to work calmly under pressure and make high-level decisions on a wide range of issues
* Have a commercial mindset that understands the broader goals of the business
* MUST be able to motivate their team and develop talent
