Employment Solicitor
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000 – £60000/annum
My client are seeking an experienced Employment Law Solicitor to work alongside their busy Dispute Resolution Team.
The successful candidate will be the only employment law expert for our firm (until further expansion) but for support will sit and work closely with our Dispute Resolution & Corporate/Commercial team. Often clients overlap
Responsibilities:
• Ensure ongoing competency training including completing compliance training.
• Will have proven success in meeting fee earning targets both monthly and
• annually.
• Ensure the appropriate management of debtors, including obtaining funds on
• account of costs and disbursements, in accordance with departmental policy.
• Building, maintaining, and nurturing appropriate network of contacts, referrers
• and business partners with the aim of winning new work.
• You will also work with my client’s BDM to develop and successfully market the department including to help create and implement business development strategies.
• Assist in the production of advice articles for the firm and take an active role
• on social media including firm and self-promotion.
• Attend networking events on behalf of our firm.
Requirements:
• 3-4 Years PQE Experience dealing with both contentious and non-contentious
• employment law matters.
• Some experience of Civil Litigation matters advantageous but not essential.
• Hold sound writing, drafting and legal research skills along with sound interviewing and advising skills.
• Have a flexible and proactive approach.
• Be commercially aware.
• Be proficient in all usual technical packages to include Outlook, Word and other Microsoft packages whilst also having the ability to use an electronic case management system.
