Solicitor / Fee Earner

Salary : £40000 – £50000/annum
We are currently hiring for a variety of Solicitor / Fee Earner positions within York and the surrounding area.

As a Solicitor / Fee Earner, the primary focus of your new role will be to take on the responsibility of managing your own caseload under the supervision of a Director.
Your objective will be to provide commercial advice and legal support to clients as the firm continues to grow.

* Commercial Property Solicitor
* Corporate / Commercial Solicitor
* Family Solicitor
About the roles:
* Undertaking fee earning work, both as a member of a team and as independently with minimal supervision
* Maintaining and developing existing relations with clients, assisting and developing new relationships with third party referrers
* Managing existing, cross department and new clients within your respective department
* Participating in the growth and future development of the department (and business as a whole), including involvement in developing strategic plans for your respective department
* Working closely with other departments as required on joint projects
* Complying with company policies and performance targets, meeting the high quality expected within the firm and adhering to ethical standards
Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong understanding of the skills and requirements of your respective profession / department
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with clients and colleagues, personable and a diplomatic team player
* Highly organised, able to effectively work to deadlines whilst handling various projects
* Highly organised
* Strong negotiation and drafting skills
* Strong IT skills including Microsoft applications and other relevant applications
* Self-motivated and able to take initiative as required.
