Are you an experienced Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant from a Residential Property/ Conveyancing background now looking for a new and challenging role in a dynamic and successful law firm ?
Our client is a leading full service private practice law firm in Newbury, Berkshire with a strong reputation for high standards of client care and providing excellent legal advice.
Due to further expansion, they now require a talented full-time Assistant to work within their expanding and busy Conveyancing department assisting Partners and Fee-earners :
The role will be suitable for an experienced Secretary/ Assistant with strong legal administration experience gained within various departments of a law firm but with a strong emphasis of Property or Conveyancing.
Responsibilities will involve providing high level administrative support to the fee earners and working under pressure including :
Open & closing files
Assisting with the Conveyancing process
Drafting documents
Use of case management systems
Arranging meetings, conferences and client interviews organising fee earner diaries
Searches as required
Land Registry applications
Telephone answering and recording of messages and appointments
Communication with clients and others
Dealing with all usual aspects of legal office administration and file management as well as archiving
Liaising with clients in correspondence, on the telephone and in person
Key competencies will include excellent IT skills, flexibility, attention to detail, effeciency, initiative, strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
