Purchase Ledger- Legal Cashier

Job Type : Contract, Full Time

Salary : £25000 – £30000/annum

One of our London based Law Firm clients is currently looking for a Legal Cashier to join them on an initial 12-month FTC. This is a maternity cover position.

The main duties foe this role will be to post all incoming purchase ledger invoices on to the accounting system and ensuring they are authorised by the appropriate member of staff. You will also need to process any expenses, and arrange a weekly payment run for any pending invoices and expenses. Should you be required the candidate will also need to process and reconcile and transactions, supplier ledgers and statements. All ingoing and outgoing payment must be accurately tracked on the firms banking system along with any client and office transactions on to the accounting system and prepare any monthly bank reconciliations.

The successful candidate will eb one who has strong numeracy skills and good communication skills both written and oral. You must be proficient in basic office computer software. Proven working experience in a legal finance role is also essential, along with a good understanding of Solicitors Accounts Rules and VAT. Experience of Aderant Expert would be advantageous. Standard working hours for this role are 9:30am- 5:30pm. This role will be paying up to £30,000
