Part-Time Legal Aid Billing Assistant

Salary : £23000 – £25000/annum

Nuneaton

up to £25k pro-rata depending on experience

We are working with a very well-established, highly reputable law firm, who are looking to recruit a Part Time Legal Aid Billing Assistant to support their friendly and supportive team in Nuneaton.

The position is offered on a part time basis, 3 days per week. However, the firm are able to be very flexible on the hours worked in the role so please specify the hours of work you desire on application.

The role will involve:

* Ensuring legal aid files are promptly and accurately costed

* Ensuring payment is obtained on time from the Legal Aid Agency

* Preparing claims for assessment by the Legal Aid Agency

* Maintaining records detailing the stage reached and the progress of bills towards payment by the Legal Aid Agency

* Use of a legal case management system

* Liaising with various teams within the law firm

Suitable Candidates will have

* Previous experience working for a law firm

* Previous legal aid billing, costing or legal accounts experience

* A high level of numeracy and literacy

* Strong IT skills

This is a part time, permanent job offered with:
