My client is searching for a Civil Litigation Solicitor to join their Kendal, Cumbria offices.

As a Civil Litigation Solicitor your job is to provide high quality legal advice, assistance and advocacy for clients of the firm and contribute to maintaining high standards of client care.

Duties

• Taking client instructions, providing legal advice and assistance
• Running a case load of client matters in accordance with office procedures.
• Dealing with client enquiries promptly.
• Recording time diligently and according to procedures.
• Billing regularly according to procedures
• Maintaining knowledge and skills through legal training and research in accordance with the regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment
• Contribute to maintaining and improving office procedures.
• Helping to market and promote the firm wherever possible.
• Any other duties which from time to time are required by the firm.

Civil Litigation Lawyer specific areas of work

• The workload is general civil litigation.
• Caseload involves working primarily for individuals and small businesses in relation to disputes concerning land/property, boundaries, landlord and tenant (mostly residential), contracts, wills, Powers of Attorney and employment.
