Landscape Maintenance Trainee (Level 1)

We're looking for enthusiastic people to join our Landscape Maintenance team who are looking to develop a career in amenity horticulture.

You will complete an 18-month training scheme (including attendance of appropriate courses and includes NPTC Certification). Subject to training and practical criteria being met this role will become permanent with further training opportunities available. We are offering a starting salary of £19,000 per annum.

You may already have some interest or experience in the landscape or forestry industry or are attending college on an industry related course (e.g. horticulture, land management).

This post will suit someone who is happy to work outside in all the seasons.

Work includes; shrub pruning, weed control, coppicing, hedge and tree works.

About You

Essential

*A full driving licence is required.
*You should have good communication skills; be able to apply initiative to your work; follow instructions; and be a fast learner and a good team player
*Be able to demonstrate effective time management skills
*Be prepared and motivated to take on further training that will help enhance your individual skill levels
*Be able to communicate effectively with team members, other Trust staff, the general public and other third parties.
