Responsible for:
Assisting and contributing to work carried out by operational teams covering Grounds Maintenance/Cleansing Team carrying out maintenance and cleansing work responsive to community needs.
DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
The post holder will be expected Litter picking, emptying litter & dog bins, removal of dead animals
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SPECIFIC TO THIS POST
– Have good customer care skills with the ability to communicate effectively
– To have a basic knowledge of the Council's relevant practices and procedures, and
– ensure that all policies are followed whilst carrying out works, and with particular
– regard to Health & Safety (following safe working practices).
– Planting and maintaining floral displays including the identification of plants
– The post holder is expected to work outdoors in all weather conditions
– Hedge cutting
– Rotovate and seed areas
– To remove fly-tipping and identify hazardous materials
