Our client seeks to hire a laboratory technician to join their team in Immingham. The purpose of this role is to provide an analytical service to the business, maintain business critical records and ensure quality and regulatory standards are met.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE?
Scheduling and prioritising laboratory workload
Ensuring records and results are up to date and published accurately and timely
Assuming responsibility for the safety of the laboratory and other laboratory staff/visitors
Carrying out Sample Testing and maintaining relevant documentation
Purchasing laboratory supplies and maintaining stocks to ensure uninterrupted service
Keeping samples and records to ensure integrity and compliance with statutory regulations
Providing analytical testing service to other group sites
Laboratory housekeeping to maintain a safe and tidy working environment
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIRED
Customer focused team player.
Organised, methodical and well presented.
Highly flexible approach to working hours, job content and work location.
Ability to assess situations and make logical decisions with minimal supervision.
Effective communication, interpersonal and influencing attributes.
Focused attitude with a high concentration level.
IT literate, safety aware and quality focused.
Responsible and conscientious nature.
A background in analytical chemistry or manufacturing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS (NOT ESSENTIAL)
GCSE/A-Level/Degree educated in a relevant field
Fully PC literate
IOSHH certificate
Training in environmental studies
Previous experience working in an industrial quality assurance laboratory
Experience with continuous flow analysis, Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy and High-Performance Liquid Chromatography
Developing and Managing Quality Systems
