Salary : £21000 – £21500/annum

I'm recruiting for a shift based Laboratory Technicians role for a client based in King's Lynn.

Salary: £21,000 – £21,500 p/annum

Benefits: 20 days holidays for the first 2 years then moves to 25 from the next holiday year, subsidised lunch, Contributory health care scheme, Contributory pension scheme, Discretionary annual bonus, Free car parking on site

Hours of work: The hours are 06:00-14:30 and 13:30-22:00 on alternating shifts, Monday to Friday (Changing every Monday). At less busy times, office hours of 08:30-17:00 may be observed but notification will be given.

The Company

My client is a market leader in the UK and manufactures and exports it's chemical products to over 60 countries worldwide.

Key Duties:

Quality Control of manufactured products and raw materials
Documenting test results and reporting these where necessary
Production of Safety Data Sheets for products and raw materials, and subsequently assign CLP label requirements and transport classifications.
Production of Certificates of Analysis, and other documentation relevant to product registration
Production of Laboratory samples of current formulations
Production of samples for external analysis
Performing routine analysis of products as part of the quality control process
General laboratory housekeepingQualifications and experience required

Ideally you will have a degree in Chemistry or a related field, however other qualifications (HNC/HND) or relevant experience will be considered
You should have a good understanding of Chemistry. Experience of working with complex mixtures is desirable, though not essential.
Experience of working in a busy, industrial laboratory is desirable, or within an educational institutions laboratory
You should have excellent communication skills, and be able to work well in a busy team. Once trained , you should be able to competently, and independently.
The role requires a good mathematical ability and computer literacy
Excellent organisational skills are required, along with the ability to work to deadlines
You should be self-motivated and have a desire to develop their job role to suit the company needs.This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or for someone who already has laboratory experience.
