Selwyn College is recruiting for a full-time Kitchen Porter to join our busy Catering Department.

Salary: £19,305 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (exclusive of meal breaks)
Contract Type: Permanent, subject to six months’ probation

Operating the plate wash and post wash machines, the Kitchen Porter will also be responsible for keeping their work areas clean and tidy, and will have a pivotal role in maintaining the college’s 5* high Hygiene Certificate.

The Kitchen Porter will be working to high standards and will be able to achieve and maintain college hygiene standards. They will be part of a team supporting our Chefs and Front of House staff to produce excellent service to our students, Fellows, staff and conference guests alike. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have good organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines and a willingness to help others to provide excellent service at all times. If you have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and are the kind of person who jumps in to help to ensure service is never compromised, we would love to meet you.
