We are currently looking for Kitchen Assistants to join one of our clients in an exciting new venture in the Burton on Trent area
The client is a small independent owner of bars and cafés around the Midlands area.
You will support the Head Chef, Chef and other catering team members to deliver all catering services throughout. The role will involve the preparation of food and beverages as directed by the Head Chef, promptly and in accordance with peak times. It will also include maintaining a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and food storage areas at all times in accordance with the appropriate food hygiene regulations and supporting a cost-effective stock control system to minimise waste.
The main duties will include the following: –
* Undertake basic food preparation
* Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchens and surrounding working areas
* Ensure the correct use of all machinery and equipment
* Assist as an when required with the loading or unloading of deliveries & supply vehicles
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience of working in a similar environment, although applications will be considered from those with lesser experience
The role may involve some weekends and shift work.
