Kitchen Assistant

Job Type : Temporary, Full Time

Salary : £9.21 – £16.85/hour

For the right candidates we will process the applications quickly and get you started and earning in a very short space of time with all staff paid weekly.

As well as being able to take pride in doing your bit for this fantastic institution during these challenging times you will be rewarded with a decent wage for your effort and hard work: £9.21ph for hours during the week; £12.99 for hours on Saturday and on Sunday it’s £16.85ph.

The catering facilities are open between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Sunday with the food service assistants’ standard hours tending to be Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm and 10am to 6pm. There is however overtime often available with many of the current staff currently doing 50 hours per week on average.

This is a behind the scenes role and the successful person will not customer facing. You would however will be required to do cleaning of industrial equipment, as well as floors, surfaces and from time to time you’d be involved in basic food prep, chopping veg, salad etc.

What we’re looking for:

* Someone who is a real team player who will be really flexible to help where needed

* Hard working , reliable, committed individuals

* Good communicators who can follow instructions and protocols without issue

* Some experience of working within a busy catering / hospitality setting

* Holders of an accredited Level 2 food safety certificate gained within the last 2 years or applicants who are happy to gain the qualification via an online 4 hour course we can organise

* All successful applicants will need satisfactory references covering the past 3 years.
