Salary :

We are working with a prestigious international publisher of academic and professional books in the legal sector, who are looking to hire a Junior Editor for their Cambridge team.

This role will support the Publisher with various editorial and production duties to ensure a smooth publication process from submission of manuscript through to print.

Key responsibilities:

Liaising with authors on manuscript submission and delivery of additional materials
Carrying out copy-editing and editorial work as required
Preparing content for e-book and online formats
Doing quality control and final checks before sending off content to production
Coordinating work with freelance designers and editors, as well as liaising with printers and typesetters
Carrying out ad hoc admin duties as required by the Publisher

This role requires excellent attention to detail and a good eye for proofreading (spotting typos, checking punctuation) and some experience in a proofreading or copy-editing role would be ideal.
