Our client, a leading UK based document management consulting organisation, are at a pivotal point in a high growth trajectory. As part of the amalgamation of a new-acquired business they are embarking on several fully sponsored internal programs and projects to transform the way they work. Technology will play its part in a process of continuous improvement and efficiency. Constantly refreshing technology and improving security covering data centre build/strategy, insourcing, technology refresh, security upgrades, enterprise level network build and providing a centre of excellence for internal systems and services.
We are pleased to present exciting new opportunity in a growing team for an Infrastructure engineer who can work within the infrastructure team. The successful candidate will ideally have solid previous experience in building and managing large multi-site IT hosting environments across the UK and Ireland.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plan, design and manage the infrastructure and technologies within that can support corporate and datacentre environments at an enterprise level
* Ensure that hardware and software systems remain patched and up to date
* Take part in IT strategic planning activities that reflect the future vision of the organisation
* Collaborating with the team to implement and manage cloud AWS and Azure based systems
* Assist IT Service Desk with any Microsoft 365 enquiries
* Create and document proper installation and configuration procedures
* Manage and lead projects to which you have been assigned
* Provide out of hours support as part of the On call rota
ABOUT YOU
* Cloud knowledge (AWS/Azure)
* Network knowledge
* Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft 365
* Proven ability to project manage work
* Strong documentation skills
* LAN knowledge
* Server and SAN build and configuration
