Jark Southend Ltd are looking for Horticultural Workers for large and modern plant nursery based in Battlesbridge, on the outskirts of Wickford. Company is based 2 min walk from train station.
We offer full time work until early November. It is regular work Monday to Friday 7.45- 16.30. Pay rate £8.91 p/h plus attendance bonus. Overtime paid after 38 hrs at enhanced rate. We have various positions available to fit your needs and abilities: Packers, Pickers, Loaders and Machine Operatives.
Duties:
• Packing plants and preparing them for dispatch
• Labelling product
• Moving plants to relevant greenhouse or outside
• Potting up plants
• Operating nursery machinery such as potting and transplanting machine
• Picking plants per order
• Loading plants on trolleys and moving them around
Skills & Requirements:
• Ability to work both inside and outside in varied weather conditions
• Must be able to must be able to bend/ lift
• Must be able to work as a team member and operate in fast-paced commercial
• A keen interest in plants
• Flexibility to work additional hours according to seasonal requirements
