Salary : £30000 – £40000/annum pension, company car or allowance

Our client a leading contractor looking to recruit an Health & Safety Advisor. Projects undertaken consist of social housing refurbishment and maintenance projects across South Wales.
Key Responsibilities
Provide accurate SHEQ specialist advice in conjunction with other SHEQ specialists.
• Implement safety and other management systems and policies, including the development of contract specific systems as required.
• Monitor compliance to legal and client requirements via audit as directed.
• Monitor risk mitigation against project control plans and risk registers.
• Implement compliance strategies and monitor against these in relation to annual programmes of objectives and targets as directed.
• Support the delivery of business level KPIs at contract level and achieve above and beyond business requirements.
• Proactively manage the delivery of accident investigations and preventive measures.
• Initiate local improvement initiatives using trend analysis and setting continuous improvement plans
• Monitor briefing delivery and performance.
• Support, advice and train subcontractors/suppliers and develop the behaviours and cultures within them to achieve the continuous improvement goal
• Deliver pre-qualification and tender documentation relating to quality, health, safety and environment as directed.
Technical Skills
• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
• IEMA Environmental Awareness
• Quality standard Awareness or equivalent
• Application of legislation and case law in practice
• IT Skills
• Technical Analysis of Statistical Data
• Accident Investigation
• Training Skills
• Report writing skills
