This is a superb opportunity to join a fast-growing digital production firm who specialise in virtual events and live streaming for global brands inc. Xbox, McLaren, EA Games, Gorillaz, WWE and IGN.

The business is continuing to evolve and we’re looking for an experienced Head of Production to join them. This is a highly autonomous role with responsibility for production planning, finances, staffing/recruitment and legal.

You’ll work with top brands and industry leaders on multiple projects, in a fast-paced and rapid environment.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee all productions within the UK & US offices.

* Work closely with other heads of department to ensure productions run smoothly, deadlines and margins are met and projects stay in budget.

* Create budgets for pitches, translate them into live cost managers and support production managers to ensure profit margins are met. Once a project is handed to a PM, daily support throughout the project including regular budget checks and end of project wraps.

* Build project timelines, ensure all projects are properly scheduled, staffed and delivery deadlines are adhered to.

* Create company templates and manage all release forms, staff and crew contracts, SOW, supplier agreements, filming signs etc. Consult legal experts where necessary.

* Sign off purchase orders and cash requests, expenses etc. Ensure clients are invoiced correctly and work closely with accounts to ensure payment. Update job sheet.

* Manage company overheads and look to keep these at a minimum through tight financial controls across team and project management, and also office running costs.

* Manage client billing portals and ensure company info stored there is up to date. Work with IT department on this.

* Inform payroll of all salaries and manage holiday pay and sick pay.

* Sign off expenses.

* Build relationships with suppliers / agree rate cards and do deals.

What experience you’ll need:

* 10 years of experience within media production – preferably within an agency environment.

* Experience in digital content and live streaming is hugely beneficial.

* Excellent client management and communication skills.

* Strong financial acumen and ability to deliver end-to-end financial accountability.

* Team player, natural collaborator and ability to manage teams of resource.

* Natural passion for the entertainment/media industry and particularly in gaming, music and sports.
