Head Chef- Central Oxford, £40K
Based in central Oxford, you will find this amazing cocktail bar & restaurant, popular with professionals and couples looking for a quality establishment to enjoy a lunch meeting, or evening out. With an amazing event space too, food offering starts at 12 and then finishes at 9pm. They are closed for food Sunday evenings. The menu features sharing plates, small plates and brasserie type dishes. Everything is freshly made on site, using fresh produce.
As the Head Chef, you will have full control of the kitchen from menus, ordering, stock and recruitment. The menu will be yours, as will the specials, though you will need to work with the GM to ensure it fits in line with the business model. This is a really good mix of restaurant and event dining.
Working around 45 hours a week, your rota will look something like this;
Monday- off
Tuesday – off
Wed 11am-9pm
Thursday 11am-9pm
Friday 11am- 9.30pm
Sat 11am- 9.30pm
Sunday 9am-4pm
As you can see, the hours here are very good.
This role could be ideal for a Snr Sous wanting their first Head Chef role.
You will loo after a team of 3, including Sous and X2KP's.
This is a 600 ish cover a week operation
