The Opportunity
Our long standing client is looking for for a new Head Chef to join and lead this experienced and long standing brigade. We are looking for a calm chef with great communication skills to run this busy and well loved country Inn.
The Role
Located within driving distance of Thetford and Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket you will need to be a driven head chef with the ability to manage the brigade and service during very busy times. This busy gastro pub and Inn can service between (Apply online only) covers per sitting and more in the hieight of summer. Conveniently located near to a holiday complex there is a mix array of clientele from families to couples looking to dine.

We are looking for a local chef who has a passion for food, a chef who enjoys working within a large kitchen and having access to local game, vegetable patches and the best produce Suffolk & Norfolk has to offer.

As Head Chef you will be in charge of developing the junior members and writing the menu and the daily blackboard specials, as well as ensuring the paperwork for the kitchen in terms of stock control and hygiene are kept in order.

With a seasonal changing menu and returning clientele this is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced fresh food chef to join and lead the team in one of the busiest gastro pubs on the Norfolk / Suffolk border

Working 5 / 7 days on a mix of splits and straight shifts on a 45 hour contract the owners are aware of ensuring the chefs get time off to re charge and maintain a consistent level of interest and enthusiasm for the role.
