Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? A chance to work for one of the Sunday Times Best Big companies in the UK. Then this may be the role for you! We are looking for a Head Chef to be based at a beautiful and popular Hotel at one of our client's locations in Yorkshire.
As a Head Chef at this outstanding Hotel you will lead a passionate team that takes pride in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for leading your team to ensure the smooth day to day running of the Kitchen. You will provide an environment that allows your team to perform at their best through high performance and high fulfilment and giving our team opportunities of a lifetime, whilst delivering our Mission Statement values.
The role is available on a permanent, full-time basis, working hours as per the business requirements.
Main responsibilities:
·The Head Chef will need to be passionate about what they do and highly experienced in their field.
·Self-motivated and adaptable.
·Experience in overseeing multiple food outlets at once.
·Excellent customer service and communication skills are a must.
·Up to date with all food and safety regulations.
·A strong leader who is organised, firm yet warm and approachable.
·Used to working well under pressure.
·Responsible for maintaining the food is presented to the highest quality.
·Orders and stock control.
·Work well as part of a team.
·Recruitment of all kitchen staff.
·Staff Rotas.
·Ensuring the working environment is safe, clean yet fun and positive.
·Promoting a passion for food within your team by ongoing training of staff and nurturing them to the highest level.
·Oversee check and ensure all professional documents and administrative work are up to date and complete – stocktakes, wastage, cleanliness and hygiene sheets.
Qualifications / Experience:
• Understanding of different communication styles along with your own with ability to be able to communicate at all levels
• Has a high level of operational knowledge specific to your area of expertise and shares and coaches Team Members
• Demonstrates ability to lead a team
• Willingness to challenge if standards aren’t up to those, we accept
• Ability to coach and give feedback to Team Members to improve performance
• Level 2 food safety
