Harvest Supervisor
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £30000 – £35000/annum
We have a fantastic opportunity available working for an agriculture business who are UK Leaders in their products. They are constantly growing and developing their range of products on the farm and now looking to recruit for a Harvest Supervisor to support them with this business growth. This is a real opportunity for someone to really make this position their own. Ideally you will have a passion for horticulture and happy to work long hours due to the nature of the business.
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Outskirts of Thetford, Norfolk
Hours: 60 – 65 hours a week over 6 days, Day off on Saturday’s
Salary: up to £35,000

Please note this position is physically demanding therefore you must be physically fit and due to location you MUST be able to drive.
Duties:
* Plan and organise for pre- harvesting
* Manage temporary labor requirements and liaise with agency suppliers
* Check timesheets are correct and completed for temporary workers
* Motivating workers during busy periods to ensure targets are met
* Ensure all health and safety is followed at all times
* Monitor stock levels of products
* Quality checks and ensure products are of correct grade and standard
* Work to customer deadlines and targets
* General maintenance of machinery
* Ensuring all paperwork is updated on daily basis and uploaded onto the system
* Carrying out Forklift and Tractor driving
* Supporting other areas of the business when required
Skills and Experience Required:
* Able to confidently work in a VERY fast paced environment
* Happy to work outside in all weather conditions
* Flexible and happy to work long hours to suit business needs
* Ability to manage a team
* Confidently work to deadlines and handle pressure well
* Ability to adapt to changes
* Excellent communication and organisation skills
* Computer literate including Microsoft Excel
* Driving licence is a MUST
* Telescopic FLT licence would be a benefit but isn’t essential
* Team orientated
