We are looking for a Harvest Manager & Supervisors to lead a current team of 60 permanent staff, with the diverse workforce expanding over the coming months. You'll be a great people manager who offers a collaborative management style whilst being both assertive and approachable.
To apply, you must have previous supervisory or management experience in fresh produce/horticulture with exposure to mushrooms highly advantageous.
Highly innovative growers, this business is expanding rapidly. Across an 11 acre site, designed to be energy efficient and pre-eminent in utilising the latest automated harvesting technologies, some 300 tonnes of mushrooms are grown and supplied to UK retailers on a weekly basis.
Currently with eight growing houses, early 2020 will see the beginning of production in a further six to keep pace with consumer demand for variety and top quality produce.

Key duties will include;
* Ensuring quality & quantity targets are met
* Training & mentoring staff
* Planning & organising
* Crop assessments
* Champion industry best practice
* Promote the introduction of new technologies
* Control & minimise waste
Hours;
48 per week over 5 out of 7 days with flexibility to meet the needs & demands of the business during peak periods
