Our Client

Our client is a highly regarded leading Horticultural Fresh produce business that supplies high quality fresh produce to all major retailers, they are a forward-thinking growing business with a passion for regenerative farming, that is going from strength to strength who invests in its people and business with all state-of-the-art Factory, accommodation and technology. They are based in Cornwall and looking for a Harvest Manager to help them move the business forward and grow with them.

The role

This role will report to the Farm Director and work closely with the farm Operations Manager and site Operations Manager regarding all the crop operational management throughout the harvest. You will organise and manage the daily cropping plan and produce accurate daily, weekly crop quantity and quality forecasts. Plan labour requirements and shift patterns and ensure all personnel are suitably trained to carry out their tasks. You will also need to monitor all costs and work with the Assistant Production Growing Managers and Farms Director to help with this. Ensure all admin and records are up to date and maintained for compliance and audit standards.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who is in a similar role within fresh produce who enjoys management of large teams and has strong leadership skills. Someone who is interested in technology, sustainable farming and a forward-thinking business would suit this company extremely well.
