Groundsman
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £18000/annum
Reporting the Head Groundsman.
Mon-Fri 08:00-16:30
Location: Sawbridgeworth / Harlow (other sites as required)
* Maintenance of the grounds owned by the family including:
* General gardening
* Cutting grass and hedges
* Pruning shrubs
* Topiary
* Watering flowers and plants on the grounds
* Clearing rubbish and weeds
* Weeding, trimming, and mulching plants using gardening tools
* Ensuring the grounds are clean, safe and usable by guest and visitors
* Taking on special landscaping, planting, or general projects as deemed necessary
* Support to the wider grounds team
* Preparing and maintaining a variety of surfaces to a high standard
* Work with various types of machinery and equipment, including [xx]
* Locking and unlocking of the grounds and buildings
* Supervision of contractors
* Carry out planned and reactive work as requested
* Undertake general maintenance of machinery and equipment
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* Practical experience in grounds maintenance / gardening and hedge cutting
* Full UK driving licence preferred
* Training in health and safety is an advantage
* Reliable, physically fit, enthusiastic and willing to work outside in all weather conditions
* Able to work as part of a team, or unsupervised when required
* Good communicator and able to listen to homeowners needs
