Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently supporting our client in the search for a Grounds Maintenance Operative.
Our client is keen to offer opportunities to Ex-Military personnel, but all applications will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Grounds Maintenance Operative:
Border maintenance, using two stroke powered hedge trimmers and hand tools.
Client Liaison.
Daily Record keeping/reporting.
Grass cutting, strimming using petrol powered strimmer’s and ride on/pedestrian grass cutting machinery.
Hedge cutting.
Occasional landscaping.
Sports field markings, both initial and overmark.
Skills and Qualifications:
Full UK Driving licence as use of a company vehicle is required during the working day. (B+E Trailer entitlement an advantage).
PA1 PA6A Spraying Licence.
NVQ level 2 in Horticulture or equivalent.
Chainsaw (any level).
Minimum 2 Years’ Experience in the industry.
Experience using petrol powered grounds machinery.
Good horticulture knowledge.
Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
Ability to keep accurate records for use in reporting works undertaken to clients.
Ability to perform general/daily maintenance on machinery.
A positive can-do attitude.
