Grounds Maintenance Operative
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £30000 – £31000/annum
Apple Resourcing UK Ltd are looking for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our client in Chelmsford, Essex on a full-time permanent basis.
You will be working within their commercial landscaping division offering a wide range of services from the delivery of major, multi-phase installations to smaller bespoke works, all of which require ongoing maintenance to the soft landscaping upon completion of the main contract works.
Key requirements and tasks:
* Soft landscaping (planting, turfing etc)
* Experience with the use of machinery (hedge cutters, strimmer’s, rotary lawn mowers)
* Using own initiative to ensure that the highest quality of work is always delivered
* Daily completion of job paperwork, highlighting any future requirements
* Ensure works vehicle is kept in good order and all equipment is present and operational
* Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed
* Sole working is required for many contracts therefore candidates should possess the confidence to work individually using their own initiative.
* Some out of hours working, including nights and weekends will be required.
Experience required:
* Previous employment within the soft landscaping industry is essential
* Horticulture experience – Preferable but not essential.
* Driving license and own transport to travel to our working premises is essential
* Valid CSCS card
* PA1/PA6 – Preferable but not essential
* Willing to take instruction
* Able to plan works methodically
