The job – Your role as Graduate Technical Assistant will be to provide support to the Technical management and production team. You will work cross functionally with all departments to maintain quality management systems and procedures. You will assist with all aspects of Quality Assurance using knowledge gained to include internal auditing, product development and new product launches. In addition, you will support technical research, sales processes, health & safety, and processing upgrades.
Responsibilities:
* Review and document work processes between Technical and Production.
* Develop towards updating product specifications and production documents.
* Assist the Technical team with new product development and subsequent product launches.
* Participate in internal audits and work with the team to maintain accreditations.
Your experience – You will be educated to a degree level within a food science related discipline or equivalent skills and qualification. Previous experience working in a food manufacturing technical team is highly desirable such as a University placement or post-graduate food industry job.
You will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of nutritional based technical information and any additional food manufacturing qualifications such as HACCP, Food Safety, Internal Auditing etc would be an advantage, however full training in these areas will be provided.
Training to recognised accreditations will be undertaken once a foundation of company knowledge has been obtained.
To succeed, you will be well organised, have strong attention to detail plus excellent communication skills.
Core hours: 08:00am to 17:00pm – Monday to Friday (although some flexibility will be required)
Salary range: £20,000 – £24,000 dependant on qualifications and aptitude.
